Indian Health Special Interest Group
The IH SIG is a supportive
network for Indian Health Service pediatricians and others who work with
Native American children.
The IH SIG was initiated to identify,
prioritize, and promote educational and training opportunities
related to Native American/Alaska Native child health issues.
GOALS
- Provide a forum for pediatricians and other health providers serving
American Indian/Alaska Native children to share best practices and challenges.
- Sponsor educational programs that highlight unique
aspects of providing comprehensive health care to American Indian/Alaska
Native children.
- Support the work of the Committee on Native American Child Health.
- Link local or regional members to address care of American Indian/Alaska
Native children.
HOW TO JOIN
Current members of the Council on Community Pediatrics are eligible to join the SIG at no additional cost. Please e-mail COCP Staff to join the SIG.
