CPTI Evaluation Toolkit

Edited by Dean Sidelinger, MD, and Lee Sanders, MD

This toolkit contains resources to evaluate residency training experiences in community pediatrics. The evaluation instruments were initially gathered from ten residency programs funded by the Dyson Foundation. While many of the instruments are designed to evaluate learners, some of the tools will assist in gathering information that would be useful for program evaluation. The evaluation instruments are categorized below based on how they are utilized. Each tool includes an introduction page that lists both the ACGME and community pediatrics competencies addressed by the tool, along with details regarding the purpose of the tool and its previous uses. These tools serve as a useful adjunct to the Community Pediatrics Curriculum and Community-Based Resident Projects Toolkit.

We welcome any suggestions for improving this Evaluation Toolkit. Please take a couple of minutes to fill out our brief survey so that we can use your feedback to improve the toolkit. Also, please share with us any tools that you currently use to evaluate residency training experiences in community pediatrics, and with your permission, we will add them to the toolkit.
