Connected Kids Speakers Bureau

The Committee and Section on Injury, Violence, and Poison Prevention have designated violence prevention as a priority topic and established a working group to plan activities to implement AAP policy in this area. As part of this effort, the working group and the AAP Violence Prevention Subcommittee have established a speaker’s bureau to promote the dissemination and use of Connected Kids: Safe, Strong, Secure.

The speaker’s bureau is comprised of experts in the field of violence prevention and general pediatricians who have used Connected Kids who are available to attend chapter, district, and other meetings to speak about the program and how it can be implemented in pediatric practice or the community. A speaker can be chosen to focus on a particular topic (eg, domestic violence prevention or bullying prevention) or can speak about Connected Kids and violence prevention more generally. The Academy is not able to support travel expenses for the speakers, but can provide presentations and other materials. If you are interested in having a member of the speaker’s bureau present at your meeting, please contact
