Immunization
Just for Pediatricians
The AAP has all of the information pediatricians need to provide the best patient care, including policy guidelines, communication tools, and parent resources – all supported by sound scientific research. The AAP is committed to supplying pediatricians with the right tools to help immunize patients effectively and efficiently.
Best PracticesVaccination services should be readily available in order for patients to access this important preventive service. How does your practice make vaccines available to patients in locations and at times that accommodate busy families unable to visit during the week during day hours? Please send your ideas on cost-effective and sustainable practices to cispimmunize@aap.org. We will review and post your suggestions. Thank you to those who submitted your office's best practices! In order to share quality improvement and best immunizations practices with pediatricians, we have compiled your submissions on National Vaccine Advisory Committee (NVAC) Standards 2, 7,10,12, and 15 (PDF 31KB).
