2014 AAP National Conference & Exhibition
in San Diego, California

COCIT Education (H) Program
Sunday, October 12, 2014
9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Presenters: Susan Kressly, MD, FAAP; Chris Longhurst, MD, MS; Stephen J. Morgan, MD, FAAP

All AAP members are welcome to join this session to learn how to deal with a very common pain point among pediatricians – switching EMRs.  Given the current economic climate, pediatric practices are increasingly finding the need to change EMR systems. This can come from vendor changes, pressures from federal mandates, or even a change made to better meet workflows. The afternoon panel of presenters will share their unique, real-world experiences and offer practical tips for how to prepare for and manage this difficult-to-navigate transition. The morning portion of the session will feature a series of scientific abstract presentations and will culminate with the presentation of the Best Paper Award. A poster viewing session and announcement of the Best Poster Award will complete the program activities.
