American Academy of Pediatrics Partners with CHOPCHOP Magazine

CHOPCHOP Web site

CHOPCHOP is a quarterly food magazine for kids aged 5-12 and their families that is full of fun and healthy recipes, games, and food facts. CHOPCHOP's mission is to educate kids to cook and be nutritionally literate, empower them to actively participate as health partners with their families and help establish and support better eating habits for a lifetime of good nutrition.

As part of the Academy's effort to support pediatricians in addressing childhood obesity in their offices, we are constantly working to expand the kinds of resources available for you to use with your patients. As such, AAP is now partnering with CHOPCHOP magazine. To ensure alignment with latest evidence and AAP guidelines, AAP has members serving on the CHOPCHOP Advisory Board and AAP also provides technical review of every issue prior to endorsement.

CHOPCHOP is not just for the waiting room, our hope is that CHOPCHOP will be used as teaching tool and as a way to stimulate dialogue on healthy nutrition while providing nutrition counseling at the point of care.
