Protecting All Children's Teeth (PACT): A Pediatric Oral Health Training Program
Children's Oral Health Website
Why This Curriculum?
PACT has been developed to educate primary care pediatricians and other child health professionals about the important role that oral health plays in a child's overall health.
Why Oral Health?
Pediatricians are responsible for caring for the whole child, and oral health is an integral part of overall health.
Why is Oral Health Important?
In 2000, the Surgeon General
suggested that “oral health is more than just healthy teeth.”
Pediatrician’s interactions with young children provide an opportunity for anticipatory guidance, screening, and health maintenance.
