Mission, Vision, and Goals


Mission
To raise awareness about the importance of and support for pediatricians, other physicians, and non-physician clinicians in preventing tobacco product initiation and exposure, treating dependence, and eliminating children’s exposure to tobacco including secondhand smoke and nicotine.

Vision
Children and families will lead tobacco free lives.

Goals
  1. Provide education for pediatricians, other physicians, and non-physician clinicians to prevent, treat and reduce exposure to tobacco and secondhand smoke.

  2. Equip pediatricians, other physicians, and non-physician clinicians to effectively prevent, treat, and reduce exposure to tobacco and secondhand smoke.

  3. Develop and promote tobacco prevention and control policy and evidence-based best practices.

  4. Provide education to support families in preventing, treating, and reducing exposure to tobacco and secondhand smoke.
