Adele
Dellenbaugh Hofmann Award
The
Adele Dellenbaugh Hofmann Award is sponsored by the Section on Adolescent Health and is presented annually to an
individual who exemplifies excellence in the field of adolescent
health. The individual must be an advocate for adolescents who
enhances the care of the adolescent in pediatrics. Except in unusual
circumstances, the individual should be a member of the American
Academy of Pediatrics. The recipient will receive a $1,000 honorarium,
a plaque, and specified travel expenses to attend the AAP National
Conference and Exhibition for the award presentation.
Founders
Award for Community Leadership
The Founders of Adolescent Health Award for Community Leadership, formerly known as the Community Leadership Award, is sponsored by the Section on Adolescent Health and is presented to an individual who has done much in their community to improve the care for teenagers and to educate pediatricians about the needs of adolescents and the health care they require. Individuals may have established programs for teens in their community, provided direct care to adolescents, and guided and taught medical students, residents and local pediatricians. The individual for this award would be well known to pediatricians in their community as the resource person for adolescent health care. The recipient will receive a $500 honorarium, a plaque, and specified travel expenses to attend the AAP National Conference and Exhibition for the award presentation.
