Starting in 2008, the Med-Peds Section began sponsoring a Clinical Case Presentation Program in conjunction with the NCE. For this annual event, we encourage Med-Peds physicians (residents and non-residents) to submit clinical cases that highlight pediatric and adult cases that have a particular Med-Peds perspective, either from the diagnostic or therapeutic perspective.
Submissions for the Med-Peds Section Clinical Case Presentation Program are accepted through the normal NCE abstract submission process. Details can be found at http://aap.confex.com/aap/2011/cfp.cgi. The Med-Peds Section typically provides two $500 awards to selected resident presenters to help cover their costs associated with attending the NCE. Selected cases will be presented as posters during the Med-Peds reception at the NCE.
If you have any questions regarding the Med-Peds Clinical Case Presentation Program, please contact David Kaelber, MD, PhD, MPH at dkaelber@aap.net. We look forward to receiving your cases.
