Visiting Professorship

The intent of the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Neurology Visiting Professorship is to bring an expert in pediatric neurology to pediatric residency programs to enhance education about neurologic disease.

Interested institutions that possess a pediatric residency program, particularly those without access to an expert in pediatric neurology, are encouraged to apply by completing the enclosed application. It is anticipated that the visiting professor would spend two days at the host institution conducting lectures, seminars, or rounds with pediatric residents, medical students, and faculty.

One visiting professorship will be awarded annually. The Section on Neurology will oversee the program and provide an honorarium of $1,500 along with reimbursement for travel, lodging, and meal expenses for two days.
