The section-sponsored course, PREP®:EM -- An Intensive Review and Update of Pediatric Emergency
Medicine, was held August 7-11, 2010 in Chicago and was oversold with 303 attendees.
This biennial AAP CME course continues to attract a combination of subspecialists, general pediatricians,
and allied health professionals and was approved to be repeated in 2012 (date and location TBD).

PEM Leadership Conference Presentations
The Section sponsored AAP Pediatric Emergency Medicine Leadership Conference "Enhancing Leadership to Improve Quality of Care in Emergency Settings for Children" was held April 16-18, 2010 in San Antonio, TX. Kudos to the Planning Committee! The conference was a great success with nearly 200 attendees and was supported through a grant from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. The conference had three major themes -- delivering emergency care of the highest quality and safety, workforce development, and translating research into practice and policy. It included a preconference for PEM Fellowship Directors and advanced media training.
