How to Join Perinatal Section Efforts

Section on Perinatal Pediatrics members frequently ask how they can get more involved in the work of the Section. The most frequently asked questions are...

Are there opportunities to get involved?

Absolutely! The Section on Perinatal Pediatrics welcomes member involvement in a variety of activities on the local, regional, national and international level. The need for new energy and ideas within the Section and the Section's commitment to the development of new leaders has never been greater than it has with the implementation of the 2008 strategic plan.

What types of opportunities exist?

Opportunities include participation organizing or hosting educational venues, involvement in committee work, and work with the Section liaison partners within the AAP as well as beyond Academy walls.

Whom should I contact to get involved?

If you'd like to get involved in Section work at a regional or national level, your district representative is a great first person to contact. Check the Executive Committee listing for the name and contact information of your district representative. As a reminder, the AAP districts have the same geographic designation as Congressional districts.
