The American Telemedicine Association is the leading international resource and advocate promoting the use of advanced remote medical technologies. ATA and its diverse membership, works to fully integrate telemedicine into tranformed healthcare systems to improve quality, equity and affordability of healthcare throughout the world.
ATA Pediatric Special Interest Group
Within the ATA there is a cadre of experts on pediatric telehealth care. They conduct an annual Pediatric Telehealth Colloquium and work on various ATA practice guidelines of relevance to child health providers. They have a HUB for disseminating meeting notices, legislative updates, and sharing problems and solutions.
The Center for Connected Health Policy (CCHP) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization working to maximize telehealth's ability to improve health outcomes, care delivery, and cost effectiveness.
CCHP Maintains a panoramic view of telehealth care across the nation, telehealth legislation and regulations, and telehealth bills analyses.
CTeL enjoys a national reputation as one of the preminent organizations in the field of telehealth and e-health related issues. It is an excellent source of information on legal and regulatory telehealth organization - providing vital support to the community on topics such as: physician and nurse licensure; credentialing and privileging; Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement; and private insurance payment policies.
CTeL holds summit meetings on burning issues in telehealth care, provides a weekly email newsletter, and hosts webinars on key telehealth topics. (Many of the webinars are free!)
The National Telehealth Technology Assesssment Resource Center purpose is to create better-informed consumers of telehealth technology. By offering a variety of services in the area of technology assessment, the TTAC (pronounced "tea-tac") is the place for answers to questions about selecting appropriate technologies for your telehealth program.
It provides archived webinars, tool kits, user reviews and innovations watch.
