Medical students were first offered membership in the AAP in the early 2000s, and their role in the AAP continues to evolve.

In December 2007, the first group of medical students were selected to become members of the Medical Student Subcommittee. Since then, this outstanding group of six medical students from across the nation have worked with us on developing resources for both medical students and Pediatric Interest Groups
